In my painted work I focus on the physicality of painted objects, in light of our relationship with artwork being oversimplified by the digital image.

An often obvious approach towards reacquainting viewers with the stupid and heavy side of painting leaves room for a helping of silliness.

As in my more three dimensional work with clay and wood, I consider what these objects might do to settle in a new home, and endear viewers outside of gallery spaces.
